- Usually because the real source of the damp was never fixed — just painted over. Our first step is always finding the source, not just covering the visible stain.
- Is mould a health concern — should I treat it urgently?
- Prolonged damp/mould can be an irritant for breathing; if the source is clear we schedule quickly, otherwise we recommend a visit first to properly diagnose it.
- Do you just repaint the stain, or the whole room?
- Once the source is fixed, usually just the affected area is enough; we may suggest the whole wall for colour/texture match.
